AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROAD WITHIN THE
COUNTX 0~' BUTTE, STATE OF CA.LIE`ORNTA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358}

3 Section l• Said Board finds and determines that u on the basis of an
Q~ engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
5 comes within the provisions of Sectinn 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
g of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
7 than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a
$ prima facie speed limit on such. Butte County highway as follows:
g That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five {35) miles per hour
10 is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED L71vITT 35 MILES
~.1 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county
12 highway, to wit:
13 ~ MONTE AVENUE from State Highway 32 to East Eighth Street
I4 Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
1S herewith are hereby repealed. .
16 Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions,. sections and
17 teams of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
18 the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section or term
19 thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the
20 same inoperative or invalid.
21 Section 4: The Department of Public Works of .the County of Butte is
22 hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
23 speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof,
24 This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30} days after its passage,
.%Z~ and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage, it shall
26 be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,

Butte, State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 30th T,
