ORDINANCE NO. 1665 1 2 3 5 6 7 8 9 10 I1 12 13 34 15 16 ' 17 18' xs X20 `2I ;22 23 ;24 ;25 `2B AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND CONSOLIDATING ORDINANCES NOS. 850, 1068, 1136B, 11$6, 1243, 1267, 1274, 1301, 1381, 1499, 1505, 1618,•an d 1644 AND RENAMING SAID ORDINANCE FROM "S-2" {SITBiTRBAN) TO ~~~R:~.~~ (SUBURBAN- RESIDENTiAL)ZONiNG DISTRICT Purpose: In order to establish consistency within the Suburban-residential zoning districts as to the acreage require- ments . The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, of said County, being the Enab~.ing Ordinance, DO ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, situated in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "SR-1" (Suburban-~Residential, one acre minimum) District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and pro- vided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, more particularly described as: Parcel ~. located near Forest Ranch: The 5E a of the NWT ; those portions of the NW a of the NW 4 and the S z of the NEB of the NWT of Sec 5 , T2 3N , R3E, NIDB&M located southeasterly of Hwy 32 relocation; that portion of the SW~ of the NWT located southerly of the following described line. Beginning at a point in the centerline of a draw located approx. 50 ft. north of engineering station 864+94,75 on State Hwy 32 relocation, thence mean- dering westerly along said draw approx. 500 ft, more or less., to a point on the centerline of old State HSay 32; thence northwesterly along said centerline to the westerly boundary of Sec 5 and the end of herein described line . REGULATIONS FOR AN "SR-1" DISTRICT: The following regulations sha11 apply in an "SR-1" {Suburban-Residential) District: 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or mobile homes. b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. c. Agricultural uses. d. Livestock subject to the following require- ~nen t s 1. Far each horse or head of cattle over one year of age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) sq. ft, 2.. For each-head of swine over ten {10) weeks of age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) sq. ft. 3. For each head of sheep or goats, two thousand {2,000) sq. ft. 2.2 LOT AREA: Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit shall be not less than one (1) acre. 8. 2 3 4 6 B 7 8 9 30 II 12 ~3 Z4 I5 16 17 ].8 I9 20 2Z 22 23 24 2;5 28 2.3 LOT WIDTH: Minimum lot width shall. be not less than one hundred thirty (l30) feet. 2 ..4 FRONT YARD Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road except where the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of the road. 2.~ SIDE YARD: Minimum side yard shall be not less than ten (l0} feet. SECTION 3. The following uses subject to securing a use permit in each case: a, Public and quasi--public uses including churches firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public utility buildings. SECTION 4. All uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are pro- hibited. SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in full. SECTION 5. In comp~.iance with the pro- visions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall be from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinanceo SECTION 7o This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expira- tion of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be pub~.ished once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Raster rise a newspaper published in the County .of Butte, State of California.
