The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, of said

SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as an "AR-MH" (Agricultural Residential--Mobile Home)
District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
~~Said area so zoned being located a.n the unincorporated area of
Butte County, Thermalito, more particularly described as;
That portion of the "Thermalito Sub" per wall
Maps 4 and 6 of the Butte County Recorder
bounded on the north by Nelson Ave., on the west
by 12th St., on the south by Grand Ave., and on
the east by the Oraville City limits.
Excepting therefrom Block 72 of said "Thermalito
Sub".
Containing 3D0 acres, mare or less.

SECTION 2. ~2EGULATIONS FOR AN "AR-MH DISTRICT.
The following regulations shall apply in an."-AR-MH"
(Agricultural Residential.-Mobile Home) District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED
a. Single-family dwellings.
b. Mobile Homes - to one family, when such Mobile
Home is the-only housing facility located on the
premises, provided the following conditions are
conformed to;
1. The gross area of the Mobile Home shall not be

less than 500 square feet.
- ___ _ _ 2.- All sanitary _ faclit~.e, s shall _conform to Statutes

and regulations and to local requirements of the
Butte County Health Departmerit.
3. A11 electrical installations shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations as administered by the
Building Division of the Butte County Public Works
Department.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
d. Agricultural uses.
e. Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1. P~2inimum lot area to lae devoted to residential uses
shall be not less than eight thousand, one hundred
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
use, the followizag lot or parcel areas shall be
required for each animal raised or kept on the
premises:
a1 For each horse or head of cattle over one (1) year
of age - eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five
(8,125}, square feet.
b) For each head of swine over ten (l0} weeks of age -
eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125)
square feet.
c} For each head of sheep or goats - two thausand
(2,000) square feet.

2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES SU~3JECT TO SECURING A U5E
PERMIT IN EACH CASE:
a. Duplex drrrellings and- multiple-family dwellings .
b. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
c. Pubi~.c and quasi_public uses including churches,
firehouse, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
f. Nurseries and plant gardens,
2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED:
Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five {8,125} square feet. .
2.4 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED:
Minimum lot width shall. be not less than sixty-five
(65) feet.
2.5 FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty {50} feet from
the centerline of the road, except where the road
is classified by the County as a Federal Aid
Secondary Road, the minimum building setback
requirement shall be fifty-five feet from the
centerline of the road,

2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIRED:
Mni.muzn side yard„ shall nat be less than five (5 )
feet.
SECTION 3. All uses of land not specifically authorized
and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited within the district.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zanin g hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, In compliance with the pro-
visions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall.
be from and after its effective date become a supplement to and
part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall. be and it is hereby
declared to be~in full force and effect from and after thirty
(30} days after the date of its passage, and before the expira-
tion of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall
be published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Orovi Ie
Mercury , a newspaper .published in the County of
'Butte, State of California.
