The Board of Administration, Public bnployees' Retirement System, hereinafter
xeferred to as Board ~ and the BOARD Ok' Sf3'PER9IS0RS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, herezn,-~
after referred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of
~'e3~ruary 26, 1943, effective April ]., :1945, as amended :effective October 1, ].947,.
December 1, 1951, July 1, 1956, Novez~ber 1., 1956, November 1, 1959: September 8,'
160, October 1, 1.960, October 1, 19b1, September 16, 196.$, October 1, 1968
August 25, 1973, October ~., 1973, November 1, 1974, and January 24, 197b, and as
provided by Chapters 170 and Sib, Statutes of 1971, which provide for participation
of Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows;
A. The fallowing sub-paragraph shall be added to Paragraph 5 of said contract:
5. {h) Section 2flO21.9 {providing for classification as "County Peace
Officers" those employees of the Sheriff employed in county jail, a
detention or oori~ectional facility and having as their primary
duty ~.nd responsibility the supervision and custody of persons
eomznitted to such facxlxty}.
5. (i) Section 20021..10 (providing for classification as "county peace
officers" of those employees of the Shez°iff employed to attend
sessions of the superior or muna,cipal courts and perform speci-
fied duties there. -
B. This amendment shall be attached to said contract and shall be effective
on the 8th day of Apri I, 1976 .
