Resolution No. 17-040
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to participate in the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance
Grant Program supported by federal Formula Grant funds and administered by the Board of State and
Community Corrections (hereafter referred to as BSCC).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Chief Administrative Officer, Paul Hahn, is
authorized on behalf of the Butte County Board of Supervisors to submit the grant proposal for this funding and
sign the Grant Agreement with the BSCC, including any amendments thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that federal grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
expenditures controlled by this body; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County agrees to abide by the statutes and regulations governing the
federal Formula Grants program as well as the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the
BSCC.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14th day of March, 2017 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, kirk, Lambert, Teeter, and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
