L. t ✓ /, y / r / �r r / r / ✓,/ / G,r / / / / l /,,, ,/ ��11���/,%„i„ Jh ",;rrri%r it t// / Resolution No. 17-067 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE CONTINUING EXISTENCE OF THE LOCAL EMERGENCY PROCLAMATION FOR THE OROVILLE SPILLWAY INCIDENT WHEREAS, Section 8-5 of the Butte County Code empowers the Chief Administrative Officer to proclaim the existence, or threatened existence of a local) emergency when said County is affected, or likely to be affected, by a Vocal emergency and the Board of Supervisors is not in session; and WHEREAS, conditions of peril to the public health and safety of persons and property have arisen within Butte County due to the Oroville Spillway Incident; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid conditions of peril did warrant and necessitate the proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; and WHEREAS, at the time of the commencement of the said local emergency the Board of Supervisors of Butte County was not in session and couldnot immediately be called into session; and WHEREAS, the Chief Administrative Officer did proclaim the existence of a local emergency within Butte County on the 13th day of February, 20117 relating to the conditions caused by the Oroville Spillway Incident, and the Board of Supervisors did ratify the action of said Chief Administrative Officer on the 17th day of February, 2017. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency with respect to the existence of the Oroville Spillway Incident shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said local emergencies, the powers, functions, and duties of the emergency organization of this County shall be those prescribed by state law, by charter, ordinances, and resolutions of this County, and by the County of Butte Emergency Plan.
