RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF SKY CAMPBELL UPON RETIREMENT FROM BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS,Sky Campbell, Library Assistant for the Butte County Library, will retire as of May 22, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Campbell began her County career in the District Attorney's Office as a Typist Clerk in 1984; and
WHEREAS, after holding clerical positions in the Departments of Public Works and Development Services, Ms.
Campbell joined the Library Department in 1997; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Campbell became a Library Assistant, with assignments in varied branch locations, Technical
Services and Library Administration during her years at the Library; and
WHEREAS, because Ms. Campbell has a particular interest in local and Library history, she eagerly shared her
knowledge and skills to assist the public with questions about the history of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Campbell did special project work finding and tracing the history of the first one hundred years of
Butte County Library service, including locating original branch locations, finding historical photographs and getting
permissions to use them; and
WHEREAS, due to Ms. Campbell's ardent advocacy, two branch library locations received donated state-of-the art
digital microformat reader-printers.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby recognizes Sky Campbell
for thirty-two years of County employment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 911 day of May, 2017 by the following vote:
AYES:Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert,Teeter, and Chair Connelly
