RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO STN,
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CALIFORNIA VICTIM COMPENSATION BOARD (CaIVCB),
FORMERLY THE VICTIM COMPENSATION AND GOVERNMENT CLAIMS BOARD (VCGCB)
AGREEMENT NUMBER VC-7093
WHEREAS,the Butte County Beard of Supervisors previously entered into an agreement with the State
of California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board to pay for the immediate needs of victims of
crime using a local revolving fund, and;
WHEREAS,the VCGCB advances $40,000 annually (pursuant to Government Code §5504) for
emergency payment to victims and the District Attorney shall exercise appropriate internal records, internal
controls, and management of the revolving fund as required by the agreement; and
WHEREAS,the current agreement with VCGCB expires on June 30, 2017 and renewal of the CaIVCB
agreement is needed to continue emergency payment to victims for the period of July 1, 2017 through June
30, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Butte
County District Attorney to enter into the agreement with the State of California Victim Compensation Board,
and further authorizes the District Attorney to execute any agreement amendments, extensions, and other
documents required by the terms of the agreement.

following vote:
