AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED L1MTT ON CERTAIN RbAD WITI~IN THE
COUNTX bF BUTTE, STATE Ok' C.A~LIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 2235$)
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
2 does ordain as follows:
3 Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
4 engineering and traffic surrey., the Butte County highway hereinafter described
~ comes within the provisions of Section 22,35$ of the Vehicle Code of the State
g of California, in that a speed Limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
7 than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a
$ prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
9 That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35} miles per hour
10 is hereby detex~nined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES ':a
11 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter--described county
I2 highway, to wit:
13 EVANS-REIMER ROAD FROM STATE HIGHWAX 99 TO BLACK ROAD
14 Section 2: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
15 are hereby repealede
16 Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
17 terms of this ordinance axe hereby declared independent and severable, and
18 the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section or term
19 thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the
20 same inoperative or invalid,
21 Section ~.: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
22 hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
23 speed limit established herein, within thirty (30} days of the adoption hereof,
24 This ordinance shall take effect thirt
y (3O) days after its passage,
2~ and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall
~~ be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper puhli.shed in the County of Butte, State of
~ California.
PASSID AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of Califarnza, at the regular meeting thereof on the 6 day of
