RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF CHRISTINE HO,MESLEY
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Christine Hom,esley, Support Services Supervisor of the Department of Employment and Social
Services (DESS), has announced her retirement effective June 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Christine began her employment with the County in the Sheriff's office as a Dispatcher Clerk on
November 5, 1982 and promoted to Supervising Dispatcher in January 1988. Christine transferred to the Department.
of Employment and Social Services in 2002 and has been in her current responsible position as a Support Services
Supervisor since February 12, 2005; and
WHEREAS, having served in various capacities with the County, Christine has proven to be extremely
hardworking and willing to take on any assignment; and
WHEREAS, as a Support. Services Supervisor, Christine dedicated herself to providing excellent customer
service to staff and clients, and valued the role of educating and empowering staff to provide the highest quality of
work; and
WHEREAS,Christine has demonstrated time and time again the ability to leap from task to task as an efficient
problem solver, whether working with the Auditor-Controller's Office about a lost check for a customer or who to
call to fix a maintenance issue in one of the DESS facilities; and,
WHEREAS, Christine has worked diligently for the past thirty-four years and 7 months in the best interest of
Butte County and its residents, earning the respect of her supervisors, her peers, and the many community members
she served over the years.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Butte
County, extends its appreciation for her many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 27t"day of June,2017, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert,Teeter, and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None Bill Connelly, Chair
