RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO SUBMIT
AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE FRAUD GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, Butte County, through the Board of Supervisors and the District Attorney, desires to undertake a
certain program designated as the Automobile Insurance Fraud Program as authorized, under California Insurance Cade
Section 1872,8, California Code of Regulations Subchapter 9, Article 4, Section 2698.65, administered by the California
Department of Insurance; and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney seeks Board authorization to submit a proposal to the California Department of
Insurance for funding of the program, and authorization to execute the Grand Award and related grant documentation,
including any extension or amendments thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the District
Attorney to submit a proposal to the California Department of Insurance and authorizes the District Attorney to execute,
on behalf of the County of Butte,a grant award agreement,and other related and required grant documentation, including
any extension or amendments thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to suipplant expenditures
controlled by this body.

vote:
