HomeMy WebLinkAbout17-131 s sir �',ti J i 1 , a� i y- Resolution No. 17-131 RESOLUTIONOF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE REGARDING THE APPLICATION FOR AUTHORIZATION PURSUANT TO RENAL CODE SECTION 11105(8)(1.1) WHEREAS, Penal Code Sections 11105(b)(11) and 13300(b)(11) authorize local governments to access state and local summary criminal history information for employment, licensing, or certification purpose; and WHEREAS, Penal Code Sections 11105(b)(11) and 13300(b)(11) require that there be a requirement or exclusion from employment, licensing, or certification based' on specific criminal conduct on the part of the subject of the record; and WHEREAS, Butte County Personnel Rules set forth the selection process for Butte County employees which inclludes the review of criminal records;. and WHEREAS, Penal Code Sections 1.110 (b)(11) and 13300(b)(11) requiiire the board of supervisors to specifically authorize access to summary criminal history information for employment, licensing, or certification purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the access of state summary criminal history information for employment (including volunteers, interns, and contract employees) licensing, or certification purposes and may not disseminate the information to a private entity. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22n' day of August, 2017, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter, and Chair Connelly NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING:.
