RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS FOR THE BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
CLOSURE OF MONDAY HOURS AT THE CHICO LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Butte County Cade Section 2.1 provides that the Boards of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify
those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2017,. the Board of Supervisors adopted the County's fiscal year 2017-18 budget; and
WHEREAS, the adopted budget included a decrease of B hours on Mondays at the Chico branch library,
starting September 5`", 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Chico branch library
hours are as follows, effective September 5, 2017:
Chico Branch
Tuesday 9 am–7 pm
Wednesday 9 am –7 pm
Thursday 9 am–7 pm
Friday 9 am–5 pm
Saturday 9 am--5 pm
Sunday 1 pm–5pm
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, unless otherwise approved, all branches normally closed on Mondays will
observe Monday holidays on the preceding Saturday and all branches will close at 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday
prior to Thanksgiving; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 1.6-139, adopted September 27, 2016, is hereby rescinded in
its entirety.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22"`' day of August, 2017, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Kirk, Lambert,Teeter, and Chair Connelly
NOES: Supervisor Wahl
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
