Resolution No.. 17-149
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR TO SIGN BENEFIT RELATED DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS,the County of Butte offers a variety of benefits to its Regular help Employees,including medical,dental,
vision, life insurance, long term disability, flexible spending account, etc.; and
WHEREAS, various plan related documents need to be reviewed and signed prior to the start of the 2018 plan
year; and
WHEREAS, each.lune CalPERS publishes the rates for the following plan year. The plan rates for 2018 represent
an average 2.83 percent overall premium increase. Individual plan increases vary, and for some plans the rates were less
than they were in 2017; and
WHEREAS, Delta Dental is the County's carrier for its dental plans.The 2018 rates will increase by approximately
6% compared to the 2017 rates, primarily due to higher employee and dependent utilization, Delta Dental requires the
County to sign an amendment reflecting the new rates; and
WHEREAS,the County's vision, life insurance, long term disability,and flexible spending account rates will remain
the same as they were in 2017..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the Human
Resources Director to sign any and all benefit related documents for the 2018 plan year on behalf of the County of Butte.

following vote:
