RESOLUTION APPROVING DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION AWARD UNDER VOLUNTARY
FIRE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Butte County Fire Department County of Butte,State of California
IN THE MATTER OF Resolution Number: 17-159 Approving the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
Agreement#7FG17017 for services from the date of last signatory on page 6 of the Agreement to lune 30, 2018 under
the Volunteer Fire Assistance Program of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978.
WHEREAS,the Voluntary Fire Assistance Program Grant is intended to organize,train, and/or equip Butte
County Firefighters to prevent or suppress fires, which threaten life, resources, and:/or improvements within the County
of Butte; andl
WHEREAS,the Grant requires the person signing the Resolution to authorize the County Administrative Officer
to sign the Agreement.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the Butte County Fire Department, does
hereby approve the Agreement with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection dated as of the last
signatory date can page 6 of the Agreement, and any amendments thereto. This Agreement provides for an award,
during the term of this Agreement, under the Volunteer Fire Assistance Program of the Cooperative Fire Assistance Act
of 1978 during the State Fiscal Year 2017-18 up to and no more than the amount of$19,956.30; alnd
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chairperson of said Board be and hereby is authorized to sign and execute said
resolution on behalf of the Butte County Fire Department; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that County Administrative Officer of Butte County be and hereby is authorized to
sign and execute said agreement and any amendments on behalf of the Butte County Fire Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the Butte County Fire Department, at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 26kh day of September, 7017, by the following:vote:
AYES:Supervisors Wahl, Dirk, lambert,Teeter, and Chair Connelly
