RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE AN EASEMENT DEED TO PACIFIC GAS AND
ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE TO PROPERTY OWNED BY CHARLES R. CRAIN JR,.,APN 042-010-044
WHEREAS,the Department of Public Works received a request for an easement deed, by a representative of Charles
R. Crain, Jr., owner of APN 0142-010-044. This easement deed is requested to allow Pacific Gas and Electric to service
electrical power across the County owned and maintained drainage channel (located west of Chico, north of Bell Road, on
APN 042-01.01-050; and
WHEREAS,the easement request is to grant the easement to Pacific Gas and Electric Company who will be installing
the electric power to the well; and
WHEREAS, APN 042-010-050 is a drainage ditch which is a part of the Chico/Mud Creek Flood Control System
operated by the County; and
WHEREAS, representatives for Charles R.Crain Jr., have prepared an easement legal description and easement plat
marked as Exhibit A and Exhibit B respectively which are attached to this resolution; and
WHEREAS,the County Surveyor has reviewed and approved the easement legal description and easement plat; and
WHEREAS, the County Recorder is not permitted to accept for recordation any deeds or grants conveying interest
in or easement upon real estate to or from a government agency for public purposes without having attached to the deed
a certificate or resolution of acceptance or authorization to grant as provided in §27281 of the Government Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, said section permits this board to authorize an officer or agent to accept and consent to such deeds or
grants; and
WHEREAS,.this Board desires to authorize the Public Works Director to consent to such easement deed as requested
by Charles R. Crain Jr.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisorsof the County of Butte,State of California as follows:
The Public Works Director or his authorized designee is hereby authorized to grant such easement deed and that a
certified copy of this resolution be delivered to the County Recorder for recording the easement deed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 101' day of
October, 2017, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Lambert,Teeter, and Vice Chair Kirk
NOES: None
ABSENT: Chair Connelly

EXHIBIT "A"
EASEMENT
All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State of California, described as
follows.
A strip of land of the uniform width of 20.00 feet, lying 10.00 feet on each side of the following
described line:
Commencing at the Northeast comer of Section 18, Township 22 North, Range I East, M.D.M.,
thence South 00' 26' West, along the East line of said Section 18, a distance of 60.00 feet, snore
or less, to the Northwest corner of that certain parcel of land described as "Parcel 2, Unit A" in
Book 1407 of Official Records, at Page 532, records of said County of Butte; thence continuing
along said East line, South 00'26'Fest, 1407.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning of the herein
described line; thence leaving said East line, South 89' 34' East, 60.00 feet, more or less, to the
East line of said "Parcel 2, Unit A", and the end of the herein described line.
The side line of said strip shall lengthen or shorten so as to begin on the East line of said Section
18 and tenninate on the East line of said "Parcel 2, Unit A".
