Resolution No. 17-194
RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE COUNTY RECORDER TO DISCONTINUE THE EEE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY TRUNCATION
EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 20117
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution authorizing the County Recorder to establish a
social security number truncation program and begin collecting an additional) $1.00 (One Dollar), fee on January 29,
2008 on all recorded documents pursuant to Government Code section 27361 (d)(1); and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 27361 (d)(2) states than a county recorder shall not charge the social
security truncation fee after December 31, 2017..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes that the
County Recorder shall discontinue collecting the$1.00(One Dollar)social security truncation fee effective December
371, 2017 pursuant to Government Cade section 27361 (d)(2).
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 2811 day of November, 2017, by the
following vote:
