Resolution No. 17-211
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF KIRK ZANGL
UPON RETIREMENT FROM I THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Kirk Zangl, Supervisor Road Maintenance for the [department of Public Works announced his
retirement as of December 26, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Kirk Zang) began his career with the Butte County Department of Public Works in 1994. as a Road
Maintenance Worker I,advancing within the department to become a Supervisor Road Maintenance, his present position;
and
WHEREAS, Kirk Zangl has been an exemplary employee, setting an example for current employees to follow. He
has been a positive influence to those lucky enough to know him, and he is quite the joke teller; and
WHEREAS, Kirk Zangl plans to enjoy his retirement with his family and friends. His plans include "a little goofing
around, cruising around and fixing up houses and stuff"; and
WHEREAS, Kirk Zang) has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and others
involved in Public Works activities in Butte County,and has diligently served the residents of the County of Butte for more
than twenty-three (23)years with extraordinary distinction and leadership.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors,on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents
of the County of Butte, wish to express to Kirk Zangl sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and
outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12'day of December,2017, by the following
vote:
AYES;.Supervisors Wahl, Lambert,Teeter, and Vice-Chair Kirk
NOES: None
ABSENT:Supervisor Connelly
NOT VOTING: None
