AN INTERTVI.! ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF TP_E COUNTY
OF B'~T'I'TE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA., .AN "S-R-1 t' (SUBURBAN_
RFSIDENTTAL~ DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 4?5, as amended, and
€ declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as fallo~~rs:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the
'.County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as
an "5-~-1" (Suburban-Residential District for a period of 1$O days, and
such area shall be subject to the restrictions. and restricted uses and
':regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located northwest of Chico, more

;particularly described as follows:
Lots 1 and ~ of "Cusick Tract" per map of record in Map
Book 1 on Page 4$ of the Butte County Recorder.
Lat 15 of "Bay Tract No. 1" per map or record in P1lap
Book 1 on Page Z8 of the Butte County Recorder.
hots 5, b, ?, I2, and 13, the S~ of Lot 14 and the
westerly 451.29 ft. of Lot 8 of "Evans Tract" per map
of record in 1GIIap Book 3 on Page 67 of the Butte County
Recorder.
Containing 120 acres, mare or less, Chico. ~

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-R-1" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "S-R-1°' District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. Single-family dwellings, not includi ng tents or mobile homes.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted area.

b. For each head of swine over ten (10} weeks of age, eight

2.3 TOOT .1~REA:
Minimum required area of a lot pax dwelling unit shall be
not less than one (l~ acre.

2.5 FRONT YARD:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) ft. from the center-
line of the road except where the road is classified by the
County as a Federal .Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building

said road.
2.6 SIDE YARDS'

SECTION 6. The penalties for the va.olation of the zoning hereby
imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zo nixig ~Cnabling
;.Ordinances this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become
a supplement to and part of the 7ona.ng Ex~.bling Ordinance.
E' SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediatel y
upon its passage, and before the e~cpixation of fifteen (l~~ days after
;its passage shall be published once with the names of the members of the
Board of Supervisors voting fox and against the same in the Chico
Enterprise Record ~ , a newspaper i n general circulatio n in the
:County of Butte, State of California. The facts constituting the urgency
Eon which this Ordinance is based are:
1. To protect the health, welfare, and safety of the people.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
;of Butte, State of California, on the 6th day of July, 1976, by the
