That a special election be called, which election shall be consolidated with the General Election to be held on November 2, 1976, at which election an ordinance as set forth herein shall be submitted to the electorate of Butte County pursuant to the provisions of Elections Cade Section 3750. Section 2. The ordinance to be submitted to the electorate on November 2, 1976, shall read as follows: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 BY ADDING SECTION 15-30 THERETO The People of the County of Butte DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. That Sections 15-30, 15-30.1, 15-30.2 and 75--30.3 be added to the Butte County Code to read as follows: Section 15-30. Re elation of ossession and dischar e of air ens and slin shots. ~'or the purposes of this chapter, an airgun shall be any device which propels a BB-shot or pellet by means of one or more compressed springs, ar any compressed air, carbon dioxide, or other gas. Such devices are commonly known as BB-guns or pellet-guns. It sha71 be unlawful to carry upon any public road or highway any such device when it contains its shot. Section 15-30.2. It shall be unlawful to discharge any airgun or slingshot: a. From, onto, or across a public road or highway. b. Onta ar while upon the private property of another without the owner's consent. Section 15-30.3. Anyone violating the provisions of Sections 15-30.1 and 15-30.2 shall be guilty of an infraction and shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $100.00." Section 3. 1'he aforesaid special election called by the Board of Supervisors sha7i be and the same is hereby consolidated with the State General F1ectlon to be held on November 2, 1976. Section 4.
