The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. Article XIII is hereby added to the Butte County
Code and reads as follows
§2-96 The Board of Zoning Adjustment-shall
consist of three voting members of the Planning
Commission as designated by the Board of Supervisors
according to a method determined by the Board.
Any member of the Board of Zoning
Adjustment may be removed therefrom by a majority
vote of the Board of Supervisors.
g2-97 The Board of Zoning Adjustment shall
hear and decide all requests for conditional
use permits; hear and decide all requests far
variances and perform such other duties as may be
specifically assigned by ordinance or resolution
of the Board of Supervisors.
§2-98 Regular meetings of the Board of Zoning
Adjustment shall be held on Wednesday of each week at
9 a.m, in Oroville, California. If the regular meeting
day falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held
on the succeeding day at the same hour and place. A
quorum for conducting the business of the Board of
Zoning Adjustment is a majority of the total membership
and every action taken shall have at least two
affirmative votes.
1 Section 2. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
2 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
3 (l5) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
4 of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
5 the same in the Oroville Mercury a newspaper in general
6 circulation in the County of Butte,- State of California. The facts
7 constituting the urgency on which this ordinance is based are:
8 1. To protect the health, welfare and safety of the people.
