AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROAD WITHIN THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a
prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 45 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the l~einafter-described county
highway to wit:
LARKIN ROAD FROM 664 FEET SOUTH OF EVANS-REIMER ROAD TO 500 FEET SOUTH
OF CAMPBELL AVENUE
Section 2: Al]. ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repQaled.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term
thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render :.the
same inoperative or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption
hereof .

This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) daysaEter its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen (1S) days after its passage, it shall
be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
PASSED AND ADOi'TED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the ~-~ day
of October 1.976, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Ladd, Madigan, McKil.lop, Richter and Chairman Cameron
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None ,
