HomeMy WebLinkAbout1772 BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO '.772 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE 0~' CALTE`ORNIA (Vehicle Code Section 22357) 1 2 3 4 5 8 71 81 9' ~o 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2S 28 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter-described ~, comes within the previsions of Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the existing speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour is less than is most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic on said highway and determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county highway, to wit: PEARSON ROAD from C©LLEGE HILL ROAD to CLARK ROAD Section 2; Ali ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in - validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera- tive or invalido Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
