HomeMy WebLinkAbout1775ORDINANCE N0. 1775 AN ORDINANCE ZONTNG A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "C-2" (GENERAL GOMMERCTAL} DISTRTGT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29. 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State 2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte 3 County Cade of said County DO ORDATN as follows: 4 SECTTON i. The hereinafter described area situated in 6 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is 6 hereby zoned as a "C-2" (General Commercial) District, and such 7 area sha11 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses 8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. 9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated LO area of Butte County, Paradise, mare particularly described as I1 follows: 12 The easterly 82.5 ft. of the westerly 315 ft. of the SW 1/4 of the SE I/4 of Sec. I5, T22N, 13 R3E, MDB~hi . 14 Excepting therefrom that portion located within 350 ft. of the centerline of Skyway, 15 identified as AP 52-121-02 (portion). IB SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "G-2" DISTRICT: 17 The following regulations shall apply in a "C-2" 18 District, 19 (A) USES PERMITTED: 20 1. Dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the 21 building site area, lot widt~~ and yard require- 22 vents specified for residential districts. 23 2, All uses permitted in "C-1" (Light Commercial) 24 Districts. ~ 3. General commercial uses including art shops, 2B aviaries, bar and cocktail lounges, billiard -1 - i 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 IO I1 ].2 13 I4 15 16 17 18 19 zo 2]. 22 23 24 25 26 parlors and pool halls, bowling alleys, building material {retail.), cleaning and pressing establish- ments, dance halls, interior decorating shops, employment agencies, governmental legislative build- ings, gymnasiums, public, commercial or physical cultural studios, hospitals, hotels and motels, laboratories and x-ray facilities, massage parlors and reducing salons, equipment rentals, pet shops, used car lots, repair garages, auto car washes, plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign manufacturing shops, and other retail establishments when inter- _~preted as similar. 4. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a permitted use. (B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT IN EACH CASE . 1. Welding shops. 2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or industrial uses~of similar character, 3. Public or quasi-public uses including churches. 4. Service stations, drive-in restaurants, kennels and sma11 animal hospitals and mortuaries. Lat width required. Minimum lot width shall not be less than twenty-five (25) feet. The lot width requirements for residential dwellings shall conform to the requirements for any residential) zone . 2. Side yard requirements. None, except where the side of a lot abuts upon the side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the abutting side yard shall not be less than five (5) feet; and except where the side yard an the street side of a coiner lot abuts on an "R" District, in which case the side yard on the street side shall be one-half the franc yard required in such "R" District The side yaxd requirements for residential dwellings sha11 conform to the requirements for any residential zone. 3. Rear yard required. Twelve {l2) feet, ar five (S) feet adjacent to an alley . SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. SECTION 4, in compliance with the provisions of said acts County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in fu11, SECTION 5. SECTION 6, This ordinance shall be and it is hereby (declared to be in full force and effect from and aftex thirty (30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be ;published once with the names of the membexs of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Paradise Fost a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on the 7th day of December, 1975, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Ladd, Madigan, McKi.llop, Richter and Chairman Cameron I NOES : None I ABSENT : None NOT VOTING: None 1VAR N, C airman Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: CLARK A.
