HomeMy WebLinkAbout1776ORDINANCE NO. 1776 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF GACIFORNIA, AN "5-R-1" {SUBURBAN-RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State 2 of Galifornia, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-~0 of the Butte 3 county code, and declaring an eme-~^gency, DO ORDAIN as follows: 4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in 5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereb 6 zoned as an "S-R-1" (Suburban-Residential) District for a period o 7 s months and such area shall be subject to tl~e restrictio 8 and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and 9 pro v i d ed . 10 Said area sa zoned being located northwest pf Chico, ].l more particul-arty described as follows: ~2 1_vt l of "Cussick Tract" per map of record in Ma-p Book l on Page 48 of the Butte County Retarder. 13 Lot l5 of "Bay Tract No. 1" per map of record 14 in Map Boak l an Page 18 of the Butte County 15 Recorder. Lots 5, 6, 7, and l2, the S2 of Lot l4 and the ~~ westerly 451.29 ft. of Lot 8 of "Evans Tract" 17 per map of retard in Map Boole 3 on Page G7 of the Butte County Recorder. 18 Containing l0O acres, more ar less, Chico. ~9 SECTION 2, REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-R-I" DISTRICT: 20 The fallowing regulations shall apply i~ an "S-R_1" 21 District: 2~ {A) USES PERMITTED: 23 1. Agricultural uses excepting a minimum lot area of 43,560 square feet to be devoted to residen- - ~ tial use and the following additional require- ments for each animal kept on the premises. (a} For each horse or head of cattle or swine over one year of age - eight thousand ane hundred twenty-five {8,125) square feet. {b} For each sheep or goat - two thousand (2,000) square feet. 4. The minimum lot area per dwelling unit shall not be less than one acre, the provisions of Section 24-33 notwithstanding. 5. The minimum lot width shall not be less than ane hundred thirty (130) feet, the provisions of Section 24-33 notwithstanding. {8) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT IN ERCH CASE: 1. Golf courses and country clubs. 2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches, firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public utility buildings. 3. Sales tract office. (C) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY ExCEPT- ING LOT WIDTH AND LOT ARER. SECTION 3. In compliance with the provisions of said Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Butte County Gode, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Cade, Chapter 24. SECTION 6, This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (l5) days after its passage shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise Record a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. The fact constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is based are: 1, Ta protect the health, welfare, and safety of the people.
