HomeMy WebLinkAbout1787ORDINA,~iCE N0. x787 AN ORDINANCE ZONIPJG A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A ''C-2" (GENERAL COMMERCIAL} DISTRICT, PURSUAI•!T TO C.~iAPTER 24-29. 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State ~ of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte 3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows: 4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in 5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is Q hereby zoned as a "C-2" (General Commercial} District, and such ~ area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses 8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. g Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated 10 area of Butte County, Paradise, more particularly described as 11 follows: 12 Lot 13 of "Thomassan Sub" per Map of Record in Map Book 14 on Pages 36 and 37 of the Butte 13 County Recorder. 14 Containing 1.G acres, more or less. 15 SECTION 2. REGULATIOPdS FOR A "C-2" DISTRICT: 16 The following regulations shall apply in a "C-2" 1'T District. 18 (A) USES PER~9ITTED: 19 1. Dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the 20 building site area, lot width and yard requirements 21 specified for residential districts. 22 2. All uses permitted in the "C-1" (Light Commercial} 23 Districts. 24 3. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a permitted use. {B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURIPSG A USE PERMIT Itd EACH CASE. 1. Welding shops. 2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, printing, lithographing and other light manufacturing or industrial uses of similar character. 3. Public or quasi-Public uses including churches. 4, Service stations, drive-in restaurants, kennels and small animal hospitals and mortuaries. {C) THE REQUIREP9ENTS OF SECTION 24-33 OF THIS CODE ARE PiODIFIED FOR ALL BUILDING SITES IN C-2 ZONE: IN THE FOLLO1ING PARTICULARS: 1. Side yard requirements. 7 None, except where the side of a lot abuts upon the 8 side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the 9 abutting side yard shall not be less than five (5) t0 feet; and except where the side yard an the street 11 side of a corner lot abuts on an "R" District, in ~~ which case the side yard on the street side shall ~.~ be one-half the front yard required in such "R" 14 Districts. 15 The side yard requirements for residential dwellings ~$ shall conform to the requirements for any ~', 17 residential zone. 18 3, Rear yard required, ~~ Twelve (12) feet, or five (5} ft. adjacent to an 20 alley. 2Z SECTION 3. 'after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 24. SECTION b. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3O} days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (l 5} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against i t i n the paradise Posh , a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
