COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "S-R-I"
(SUBURBAN-RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
', of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of the Butte
~_
County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:'
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is here-
by 'zoned as an "S-R-I" (Suburban-Residential) District for a period
of 120 days, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions
and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and
provided.
Said area so zoned being located northwest of Chico,
Ilmore particularly described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3 of "Bay Tract No. 2" per Map of Record
in Map Boak 1 on Page 42 of the Butte County Recorder.
Lots l0, 11, & 14 of "Bay Tract No. 1" per Map of
Record in Map Book 1 on Page 18 of the Butte County
Recorder.
Containing 57 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULRTIONS FOR AN "S-R-1" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "S-R-I"
District:
(A} USES PERMITTED:
i. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
tents, trailers or mobile homes.
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
3. Agricultural uses excepting a minimum lot area of
43,560 sq, ft. to be devoted to residential use

3 (a) For each horse ar head of cattle or swir~~e over
4 one year of age - eight thousand one hundred
~ twenty-five (8,125} sq. ft.
6 (b} For each sheep or goat ~ two thousand {2,000}
7 sq. ft.
8 4. The minimum lot area per dwelling unit shall not
9 be less than one acre, the provisions of Section
10 24-33 notwithstanding.
11 5. The minimum lot width shall not be less than one
12 hundred thirty (130) ft., the provisions of Section
13 24~-33 notwithstanding.
Z4 (B) The following uses subject to securing a use permit
1~ in each case:
16 1. Calf courses and country clubs.
17 2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
18 firehouses, hospitals, parfcs and playgrounds, school
19 and public utility buildings.
2d 3. Sales tract office.
2I (C) Section 24-33 shall apply excepting lot width and
22 lot area.
23 SFCTICN 3. All uses of land within the district not
24 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
2S SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
2B Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by

SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning:
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and after
fits effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte
Caunty Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 5, This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
of the members of .the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
the same in the Chico Enterprise-Record, a newspaper in general
circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. The
facts constituting the urgency on which this Drdinance is based
are:
1. Ta protect the health, safety, and welfare of the
public.
PASSED AND ADAPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
Caunty of Butte, State of California, on the 1st day of February,
1977, by the following vote:
