AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "C-2" (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT. TO CHAPTER 24-29.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
County Cade of said County DO ORDAIN as follaws:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as a "C-2" {General Commercial) District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, Paradise, more particularly described as
f of lows
That portion of the following described property
located within 367 ft. of the centerline of
Clark Road.
Commencing at the SW corner of Sec. 14, T22N,
R3E, MDB&M; thence N 89° 43' E along the south'
line of said Sec. 14 1114.i$ ft. to the true
point of beginning of the herein described
parse].; thence continuing along said south
line of said Sec. 14, 395 ft .; thence N 170
19' E, 426.1 ft ,; thence N 89° 49' E, 1141.10
ft. to the west right-of-way line of Clark
Road; thence south along said right-of-way
line to a point located on the said right-of -
way line and 666.85 ft. south of the north
boundary of Sec. 23, T22N, R3E, MDB&M; thence
S 89° 43' W 1525.84 ft.; thence N 666.55 ft.
to the true point of beginning.
Containing 7.7 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "C-2" DISTRICT:
The Fallowing regulations sham. apply in a "C -2"
District .

(A) USES PERMITTED:
~.. Dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the
building site area, lot wa:dth and yard require-
ments specified for res~.dential districts .
2. All uses permitted in the "C-1" {Light
Commercial) Districts.
3. General commercial uses including art shops,
aviaries, bar and cocktail lounges, billiard
parlors and pool halls, bowling alleys, building
material (retail), cleaning and pressing
establishments, dance halls, interior decoratin
shops, employment agencies, governmental legis-
lative buildings, gymnasiums, public, commercia
or physical cultural studios, hospitals, hotels
and motels, laboratories and x-ray facilities,
massage parlors and reducing salons, equipment
rentals, pet shops, used car lots, repair
garages, auto car washes, plumbing shops,
cabinet shops, sign manufacturing shops, and
other retail establishments when interpreted
as similar.
4. Accessory uses and buildings pertinent to a
permitted use.
(B) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE.
1. Welding shops.

2. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products,
printing, lithographing and other light manu-
facturing or industrial uses of similar
character.
3. Public or quasi-public uses including churches.
4. Service stations, drive-in restaurants, kennels
and small animal hosp~,tals and mortuaries.
(C) THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 24-33 OF THIS CODE ARE
MODIFIED FOR ALL BUILDING SITES IN C--2 BONE: IN
THE FOLLOWING PARTICULARS:
1. Lot width required.
Minimum lot width shall not be lass than twenty
five (25} feet.
The lot width requirements for residential
dwellings shall con~'orm to the requirements for
any residential zone.
2. Side yard requirements.
None, except where the side of a lot abuts upon
the side of a lot in an "R" District, in which
case the abutting side yard sha11 not be less
than five {5} feet; and except where the side
yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts
on an "R" District, in which case the side
yard on the street side shall be one-half the
front yard required in such "R" Districts.

dwellings shall conform to the requirements for
any residential zone,
3. Rear yard required..
Twelve (12 ) feet, or five (5) ft. adjacent to
an alley .
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 2~, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 2~, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION b. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
days at'ter the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (i5,} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Paradise Post
a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of Galif ornia.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, on the 8th day
