RESOLUTION I RECOGNIZING EMPLOYMENT AND ELIGIBILITY STAFF WEEK
JANUARY 22, 2018—JANUARY 26,2018
IN BU'TT'E COUNTY
WHEREAS, Employment and Eligibility Professionals provide excellent customer service with dignity and respect to
the thousands of Butte County residents seeking employment and social services; and
WHEREAS, Eligibility Professionals continue to effectively administer all eligibility programs including Cal'WORKs,
CalFresh, General Assistance, Medi!-cal, and the Affordable Care Act in a timely manner to ensure customers receive all
benefits they are eligible to; and
WHEREAS, in 2017, Employment Services Professionals made over 12,000 contacts with CaIWORKs customers to
guide them toward the path of self-sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, in 2017, Employment Services Professionals helped over 220 individuals find safe and secure permanent
housing;and
WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens of Butte County recognize Employment and Eligibility Professionals who
serve our county residents with competence and compassion.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the County honors its Employment
and Eligibility Professionals,Supervisors,and Administrative Support staff by proclaiming January 22 through January 261',
2018 as Employment and Eligibility Staff Recognition Week in Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of January, 2018, by the following vote:
