RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIR TO SIGN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
STATE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
AND
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
NO PLACE LIKE HOME—TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health (BCDBHI) requires authorization from the Butte County
Board of Supervisors to enter into the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) No Place Like
Home (NPLH)—Technical Assistance (TA)Grant agreement beginning FY 2017-18; and
WHEREAS, IBCDBH continues to provide permanent supportive housing for persons who are in need of mental
health services; and
WHEREAS, NPLH Program provides loans and grants to counties investing in permanent supportive housing for
persons who are in need of mental health services and are experiencing homelessness, chronic homelessness, or are at
risk-of chronic homelessness within their jurisdiction;and
WHEREAS, HCD shall provide funding to Butte County through BCDBH for the NPLH TA services; and
WHEREAS, HCD requires the Butte County Board of Supervisors to authorize the NPLH TA grant agreement
beginning FY 2017-18.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that BCDBH Director or Designee is authorized by the Board of Supervisors
to accept and sign this agreement including any amendments thereto, with the HCD for a total of$100,000.

vote:
