AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN °S-~R" (SUBURBAN
RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2~-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows;
4. SECTION i. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as an 'S-R" (Suburban Residential} District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area sa zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 .area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
I1 follows:
'12 Ali of Lot 6 of "Evans Tract" per map recorded
in the office of Butte County Recorder in Map
13' Boak 3 at Page &7.
14 Containing IO acres, more or less, identified
as AP 44-05Z-02,

16 SECTION Z. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-R" DISTRICT:
17 The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "S-R"
18 District :
19 (A} USES PERMITTED:
20 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not
2L including teats or mobile homes.
22 2~. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
23 (B} AGRICULTURAL USES,. £7(CEPT.LIVESTOCK, SUBJECT TO
24 TH£ FOLLOUJING REQUIREMENTS:
2g I. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential use,
26 the following lot ar parcel areas shall be required for each

animal raised or kept on the premises:
(a} For each horse or head of cattle
over one year of age, one-: (l} acre.
- {b) For each head of swine aver ten weeks
of age, one (1) acre.
(c} For each head of sheep or goats, one
(l} acre for the first head and one half (1/2) acre for each
head thereafter ,•
(C} THE FOLLOtdING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
1. Public and quasi public uses, including churches,
hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public utility
buildings.
2. Sales tract office.,
(fl) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 SHALL APPLY.
Sections 24-160 and 161 are reserved.
SECTION 3. Al 1 uses of 1 and within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Cade, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by addinc
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
.zoning hereby imposed Evithin the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall Pram and
after its effective 'date become a supplement to-and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty (30}
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervi sors voting far and against i t i n the Chico Enterprise
ztecord ___ , a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADAPTED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, on the sth
of Marciz 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors i,emke, Madigan, Moseley, Winston and Chairman Richter
