HomeMy WebLinkAbout18-038 / t rGrr Gi,J ; r r r f ✓I, /i�i,P✓ //�C%Ci��//�/y/� r I,�%, l/ / r/ s!° � 7//l %rl/ ///i�%/�orr/0r,yj. „rlCr r ,,�/�/,//7 // / �, r� !/ ', f 11,1, >✓ / r` I r /i( pk'1r;,rl�1{�Ji�� /' � r, � r � N l l I 1 ,il ,r �' J � li i;1� � J ,/ I- r Resolution No. 18-038 RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RECOGNIZING THE 2017 DISASTER RECOVERY OPERATIONS CENTER TEAM WHEREAS, Butte County experienced multiple, devastating fires during 2017, including the Wall, Ponderosa, Cherokee, and La Porte Fires; and WHEREAS, beginning in July 2017 and continuing through January 2018, representatives of multiple departments and agencies worked tirelessly to assist residents impacted by the fires through the recovery process; and WHEREAS,the team of individuals is known as the Disaster Recovery Operations Center(DROC)team; and WHEREAS,the DROC team met over SO times in the past seven months, to assist over 240 property owners with the beginning of the recovery process, including debris removal and cleanup; and WHEREAS, the employees on the DROC team provided these services on top of their daily duties, which often meant working nights and weekends; and WHEREAS, the DROC team, along with emergency responders and government agencies throughout California, was recognized by Senator Nielsen on February 16, 2018 in Sacramento; and WHEREAS,the DROC team has many partners throughout the community that are too many to list and recognize individually. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that that the Butte County Board of Supervisors expresses it appreciation and recognizes the hard work of employees from the following County departments and outside agencies that participated on the DROC team: Public Health, Development Services, Fire, Assessor, Public Works, Treasurer/Tax-Collector, County Administration, Cal OES, and FEMA; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors recognizes the efforts of alll of the partners that assisted the DROC team in its efforts, including local individuals, businesses, non-profit and service organizations, and State agencies.
