Resolution No. 18-055
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE PLEASANT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM
FOR THEIR CALIFORNIA INTERSCHOLASTIC FEDERATION DIVISION III STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize the outstanding performance by the
student athletes and coaches of the Pleasant Valley High School Boys Basketball Team, also known as the Vikings, during
the 2017-2018 basketball season; and
WHEREAS,the Vikings finished the 2017-2018 season with an overall record of 32 wins and 2 losses; and
WHEREAS, the Vikings advanced through the playoffs to qualify for its first boys basketball state championship;
and
WHEREAS, the Vikings displayed incredible athleticism, heart, and perseverance to overcome Riverside Notre
Came and win the championship game; and
WHEREAS, head coach Tim Keating, the assistant coaches, and school staff spent countless hours and effort
guiding the team to victory,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby recognize and
congratulate the student athletes and coaching staff of the Pleasant Valley High School Boys Basketball Team on their
California Interscholastic Federation Division III State Championship win.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this loth day of April, 2018, by the following
vote:
