AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY Of=
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "A--R" (AGRICULTURAL-
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California., under, and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORR'AIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, sha17 be and it is hereby
8 zoned as an "A-R" (Agricultural-Residential) District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
8 regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Oroville, more particularly described as
11 follows:

13 Butt e. County Recorder described as:
14 That property located south of Grand Ave., west
of 12th Street, east of loth Street, and north
15 of the centerline of Sierra Ave. (now abandoned).
1B Containing 26 acres, more or less, Oroville.
17 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A--R" DISTRICT:
18 The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "A-R"
is District .
20 (A) USES PERMITTED:
21 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
22 tents, trailers or mobile homes.
23 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to permitt~ed~uses.
24 3. Agricultural uses, except livestock subject to the
25 following requirements;

use, the following iot or parcel areas shall be
required for each animal raised or kept on the„
premises:
(3 } For each horse ar head of cattle over one (1 }
year of age - eight thousand one hundred twenty-
- five (8,125) square feet.
{2) For each head of sGVine over ten (ZO} weeks
of age - eight thousand one hundred twenty-five
(8,125) square feet.
(3} For each head of sheep ar goats - two
thousand (2,000} square feet;

2, Galf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
3, Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and piaygrounds, school
and public utility buildings.
4. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
5. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
6. Nurseries and plant gardens.
7. Sales tract office.
(C) THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 CONCEitNING SITE
REQUIRErdENTS SMALL APPLY.

SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited,
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Cade, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed- w3 thin the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 2~.
SECTIO~4 b. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to 6e in full farce and effect from and after thirty (3O}
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen X75} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against i t i n the orovil~e Mercury
a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 15~h day of
