HomeMy WebLinkAbout18-116 I i , r r 1��////, r rr � 1 ��/l%, %//// l/ /i, �r /u � /�/ / � ✓u / �r /it /'�„/��,��rr!//, ,��,r�/ A ✓, �/�j/ r r; P /1r, rI // 0i� „ ./ r Y //////���,�j.✓lIr/ //.,, r r !, ,,,er;ri,., A >,/�r�, �/ !i/ / rrl ,� , ✓/ � / / / , ,�>�i ,r'r /r„/r /,r�/ii / .,,di//„/,��,��, / / rr �, /r / ,l✓ � r r r / ` 1 / ,/ /r rr,r ri / / u r � � /, / i r� r / /, ✓ >/ rr/ irr � ✓i / r,�r / /� r/ rJ,, /r r / r / r � , / r f u'/i /,r�,�e,i���ir�., � cv ..., �,,,,,, �// �/»/,, �J�l��i. ,/irri.,�lrii��a/,r//�tif�r/,;,���/�/✓f//r/,i // � r r/�f r / ,,u,�Hl,%/rr� / Resolution No. 18-116 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSESSOR TO APPLY FOR THE STATE SUPPLEMENTATION FOR COUNTY ASSESSORS' PROGRAM WHEREAS,the State Legislature has determined that State and local governments benefit when County Assessors are able to fairly, accurately and expeditiously assess property for property tax purposes; and WHEREAS, for the fiscal year 2018-19 through fiscal year 2020-21, inclusive, the State has created the State Supplementation for County Assessors' Program to provide matching funds for that effort; and WHEREAS, State Supplementation Funds shall be used to supplement, and not supplant, existing funding and staffing levels; and WHEREAS, participation in the State Supplementation for County Assessors'will provide much needed additional resources to the Office of the Assessor; and WHEREAS, the (Butte County Assessor is interested in participating in fiscal year 2018-19 to fund the conversion to GIS mapping; and WHEREAS, the County is required to provide matching funds at the rate of one dollar for every two dollars requested from the State, which will be $75,000 for the County contribution and $150,000 from the State;and WHEREAS,the fiscal year 201.8-19 Adopted Budget includes$75,000'in matching funds and no additional General Fund contribution is requested; and WHEREAS, the application for the State Supplementation for County Assessors' Program is due on September 1, 2018; and WHEREAS, a Resolution from the Butte County Board of Supervisors is required along with the application to be considered for the additional funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County (Board of Supervisors hereby approves $75,000 in matching funds as included in the Adopted Budget and authorizes the Assessor to submit an application to participate in the State Supplementation for County Assessors' Program and sign any related documents.
