WHEREAS, each June CalPERS publishes the rates for the following plan year. The plan rates for 2019 represent an average overall premium increase of 0.37 percent for the HMO plans, and 2.83 percent for the PPO plans. individual plan increases vary, and for some plans the rates will be less than they were in 2018;. and WHEREAS, Delta Dental is the County's carrier for its dental plans.The 2019 rates will increase by approximately 8% compared to the 2018 rates, primarily due to higher employee and dependent utilization. Delta Dental requires the County to sign an amendment reflecting the new rates; and WHEREAS,the County's vision, life insurance, long-term disability, and flexible spending account rates will remain the same as they were in 2018. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the Human Resources Director to sign any and all benefit related documents for the 2019 plan year on behalf of the County of Butte.
