Resolution No. 18-132 RESOLUTION REGARDING THE WATER SUPPLY AND WATER QUALITY ACT OF 2018 (PROPOSITION 3) WHEREAS,through the citizen's initiative process the Water Supply and Water Quality Act of 2018 will appear on the November 2018 General Election ballot as Proposition 3; and WHEREAS, Proposition 3 will invest$8.877 billion in California water infrastructure, including safe drinking water, Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGMA) implementation, watershed restoration, fish and wildlife habitat conservation, infrastructure repair,and other water management programs; and WHEREAS, Proposition 3 dedicates bond funds to improve watershed conditions, water supply reliability, flood protection and support the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act; and WHEREAS, the voters of California decide on whether to enact the Water Supply and Water Quality Act of 2018 in the November 2018 General Election; and NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby declares a neutral position on the Water Supply and Water Quality Act of 2018 (Proposition 3).
