f Resolution INo. 18-155
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THERESA BURLEIIGH UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS,Theresa Burleigh, Supervisor, Appraiser, announced her retirement as of December 29, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Burleigh began her career in the Butte County Assessor's Office on April 25, 1996 as an
Appraiser I, advancing within the department, holding the positions of Appraiser III and Appraiser III; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Burleigh displayed initiative in assisting with special projects, including building a
comprehensive data base for residential income properties; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Burleigh was promoted to Supervisor, Appraiser for the Chico branch office of the Assessor's
Office; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Burleigh's motivational approach to management encouraged her staff and promoted
empowerment, accountability, and teamwork; and
WHEREAS,Theresa Burleigh was instrumental in the seamless transition of the Chico branch office to its current
location; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Burleigh rose to the challenge of transitioning from Supervisor of the Chico branch office to
Supervisor of the Paradise branch office,while continuing to maintain her high standards as a dedicated and conscientious
supervisor who encourages her staff,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors,on its own behalf, and on behalf
of the residents of the County of Butte, hereby wishes to express to Theresa Burleigh sincere appreciation for her twenty-
two years and six months of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte,
and further wish her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the (Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23'd day of October, 2018, by the following
vote:
