Resolution No. 18-158
Resolution Establishing,2018 Holiday Hours for the Butte County Library
WHEREAS, Butte County Code section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify
those office hours during which individual departments may be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, Veterans Day in 2018 falls on a Sunday; and
WHEREAS, all branches have minimal use after 5:00 pm on the following days of the year,Thanksgiving Eve,
Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Library will close to observe the holiday for Veterans
Day on November 10 or November 11, 2018; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that Chico, Gridley, Oroville, and
Paradise Branches will be closed to the public on Saturday November 10, 2018, and Chico and Oroville Branches will
be closed on Sunday November 11, 2018; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all branches closed on Mondays will observe Monday Holidays on the
preceding Saturday and that all branches will close at 5:00 pm on the following days each year:the Wednesday prior
to Thanksgiving, December 24, and December 31.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23`d day of October, 2018, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
