The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. Section 15-28 is amended to read as follows:
Section 15-28. Rewards-Conviction of ersons
destroying or dams ,~:ng Gaunt signs , equipment , etc .
The county hereby offers a reward of two hundred-fifty
dollar~s~ for the giving of information leading to the apprehension
and conviction of any person or persons for the theft of or the
wilful and malicious destruction of or damage to any county
property including but nat limited to roads, signs, equipment or
buildings. Such reward shall be paid upon order of the Board of
~~upervisors of the county upon and after recommendations for such
payment by the district attorney of the county, and the Board of
Supervisors sha11 be the sole judge of the party or parties
entitled to receive any reward.
Section 2: Section 15--29 is amended to read as:..follows:
Section 15-29. Same-Conviction of ersons litterin
ublic ra ert watercourses, etc.
The County hereby offers a reward of two hundred-fifty
dollars for the giving of information leading to the apprehension
and conviction of any person or persons placing, depositing or
dumping, or causing to be placed, deposited or dumped, any garbage,
swill, cans, bottles, papers, ashes, refuse, carcass of any dead
animal, offal, trash or rubbish or any noisome, nauseous or
offensive matter, or any rocks or dirt, in or upon any public or
private highway or road, including any portion of the rig'nt-of-way

thereof, or in or upon any private property into or upon which the
public is admitted by easement or license, ar upon any private
property wit'nout the consent'::of the owner, or in.or upon any public
park or other public property other than property designated or
set aside for such purpose by the governing board or body having
charge thereof, or any private property, or rota any bay lagoon,
channel, river, creek, slough, canal, lake or reservoir, or other
stream or body of water or upon a bank, beach or share within one
hundred fifty feet of the high water mark of any such water. Such
reward shall be paid upon order of the Board of Supervisors of the
county upon and after recommendations for such payment by the
district attorney of the county, and the Board of Supervisors shall
~be the sale judge of the party or parties entitled to receive any
reward.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage, and before the ex~iratian of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be .~
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the orovi,lle Mercury
a newspaper published in the County of
