Resolution No. 18-177
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY COODINATOR FROM THE PROBATION
DEPARTMENT TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE FOR ACTIVITIES RELATED TO
PROVIDING COUNTY-BASED MEDT'-CAL ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS,the Probation Department serves in the capacity as the Local)Government Agency(LGA)for the County
of Butte; and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, November 8, 2016, the Department entered into an agreement with the Department of
Healthcare Services (DHCS) to perform County-Based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (CMAA) on behalf of DHCS to
assist in proper and efficient administration of the Medi-Cal program by improving the availability and accessibility of
Medi-Cal services to Medi-Cal eligible and potentially eligible individuals and families; and
WHEREAS,the Department recommends entering into a contract with DHCS for the provision of continued CMAA
services from July 1,2019 through June 30,2022,with a not to exceed limit of one hundred) ninety thousand,four hundred
fourteen dollars ($190,414).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the LGA
Coordinator or Designee from the Department to execute documents on behalf of the County for activities related to
providing CMAA services.

vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly,Wahl, Kirk,Teeter, and Chair Lambert
