AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION DF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "SR-1"
(SUBURBi~N-RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT
1 ~ The Board of Supervisors of the Caunty of Butte, State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 47'5, as amended,
3 and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN, as fo]lows:
4 SECTTDN 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
~ the Caunty of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as an "SR-l" (Suburban-Residential} District for a
7 period of Sept 3. 1977 and such area steal l be subject to the
$ .restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
9 specified and provi ded.

12 All of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 of "Cusick Tract"
per map of record in Map Batik ] on Page 48 of the
~3 Butte Caunty Recorder.
14 Containing 64 acres, more ar less.
15 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FDR AN "SR-l" DISTRICT
16 The following regulations shall apply in an "SR-1"
i7 {Suburban-Residential} District:
18 2.l USES PER~lITTEp:
I9 a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents ar
20 mobile homes.
2~ b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
22 area.

25 a. For Basch horse or head of cattle Aver one year of ag ,

1 b. For each head of swine over ten (l0} creeks of age,
2 eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) sq.

4 c. For each head of sheep ar goats, two thousand

6 2.3 LOT AREA
7 Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
8 shall be not less than one (1} acre.
9 2.~ LOT WIDTH
10 Minimum lot width shall' be not ]ess than one hundred
].1- thirty (1.30} feet.
12 2.5 FRONT YARD
13 Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from
~4 the centerline of the road except where the road
15 is classified by the County as a Federal Aid
16 Secondary Raad, the minimum building setback
17 requirements shall be fifty-five (55} feet from
18 the centerline of said road.
19 2.6 SIDE YARD
20 Minimum side yard shall be not less than five (5}
23 feet.
22 SECTION 3. The following uses subject to securing a
23 i7se Permit in each case:
24 a. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches.
2S b. Hospitals, parks and play-grounds, schools, and

SECTION 4. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of said
Toning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full,
SECTION 6. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediatelyr~:-upoti~~~its passage, -and before the expiration of
fifteen (15} days after its passage, shall be published once
with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting
for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise Record, a news-
paper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of
California. The facts constituting the urgency on which this
Ordinance is based are:
3. To protect the health, safety, and welfare of
the public.
