AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "R-4" (MAXIMUM
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL - RESTRICTED SERVICE) DISTRICT,
PURSUANT TO C~lAPTER 24-29.

2 ! The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
g` of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
4 Caunty Code of said Caunty DO QRDAIN as follows:
~ SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
g ;the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
7; ,hereby zoned as an "R-4" (Maximum Density Residential - Restricted
8 Service) District, and such area shall be subject to the restric-
g tions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified
lo; ;and provided.
11 ~ Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
12-'area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
13 'follows;
14 The easterly 38.63 ft. of the westerly 355.63
ft. of the earth 2 of the S 2 of Lot 12 of the
16 "John Bidwell Rancho Sub" per Map of Record in
Map Baak 6 on Page ll of the Butte Caunty Recorder.

Containing D.15 acre, more or less.

18 II SECTIDN 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "R-4" DISTRICT:
~.s~~ The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "R-4"

2z (A} USES PERMITTED:
22 1. One-family dwellings, two-family dwellings and
23 multi-family dwellings, not including tents,
24 trailers ar mobile homes.
~ ' 2. Professional and business offices (including but
2s, eat limited to doctors, lawyers and accountants),

rest homes, convalescent homes or homes for the
aged and sanitariums.
3. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
tlSeS .
4. Household pets (but not including livestock,
poultry or poisonous reptiles).
{B) THE P'OL.~.O~lING USES SUBJECT TO SECURIiVG A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE.
1. Golf courses and country clubs.
2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.

SECTION 3. A11 uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTIO~1 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in fu31.
SECTION 5. The penalties far the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district-steal] be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance sha11 from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in fu11 force and effect from and after thirty (30}

days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors vatsng for and against it in the Chico Enterprise
Recora , a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California .

County of Sutte, State of California, on the 2~th day
of May 1977, by the following vote:.
