AN ORDINANCE BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A "C-C" (COMMUNITY
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.

3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 `the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
O hereby zoned as a "C-C" {Community Commercial} District, and such
7 ;area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
g Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as

18 5ECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "C-C" DISTRICT:
17 The following regulations shall apply in a "C-C"
18 District.
19 {A} USES PERMITTED SUB~3ECT TO PLAN APPROVED BY
20 PLANTING COMMISSION:
21 1. Multiple dwellings and dwelling groups,
22 subject to the height limit, building site
23 area, average lot width and ,yard requirements
24 ;, specified for "R-3" Districts.
~ 2. Hotels, clubs and lodge halls, hospitals,
26 sanitariums .

1 ~ 3. Retail stares and shops of a light commercial '
~ character and conducted within a building ~

3 including appliance stares, banks, barber shops, ~,
4 ` beauty parlors, book stores, cleaner or laundry ',,
5 agents and launderettes, dress shops, drug stores~l
~ food stores, furniture stores, millinery shops,
7'; professional offices, restaurants, refreshment
8 stands, service stat;ons, shoe chaps, storage
9' '` garages, studios and tailor shops, public utility
lo, commercial offices, and other uses wh;ch are of
I1 similar character to those enumerated and which
12 will not be detrimental or obnoxious to the
1~ neighborhood in which they are to be located.

(D) The
provisions of Section 24-33 of this code are

~ 1 modified in the fallowing particulars for building
2 sites in C-C zones:
~ 1. Minimum lot width required: Twenty five (25} ft.
~ 2. Side Yard Required: None, except where the side
~ of a tat abuts upon the side of a lot in an.
6 "R" District, in which case the abutting side
~ yard shall be not less than five (5} feet, and
except where the side yard on the street side of
~ a corner tat abuts on an "R" Distrdct, in which
1o case the side yard on the street side shall be
I1 one-half the corresponding front yard required
12 in such "R" District.
13 3. Rear yard ~requi~red: Twelve (12} feet, or
I4 five (5} feet adjacent to an alley.

~,~ SECTION 4. ~n compliance with the provisions of said
18 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
I9 adding this Ordinance in full.
20 SECTION 5, The penalties for the violation of the
2I zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
22 the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
23 after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
24 Sutte County Code, Chapter 24.
~ SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
28 declared to be in full farce and effe~:t from and after thirty (30}

:days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen ~15~ days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Rnterprise
Record a newspaper published i n the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, on the i~th
of 3une 1977, by the following vote:
