The hereinafter described area situated in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "A-2" (General} District far a period of 120 days , and such area steal 1 be subject to the restri cti ons and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, Chico, mare particularly described as follows: All that portion of Lot 41 of said "Hobart Sub" located north of "Frontier Village" and east of the Sacramento Northern Railroad right-af-way, per Map of Record in Map Book 38 on Pages 76 and 77 of t.he..Butte County Recorder. SECTipN 2. REGULATIONS FDR AN "A-2" DISTRICT; The following regulations shall apply in an "A-2" ~ District: ~A} USES PERMITTED: All uses except those for which a use permit is required under "b" below are permitted. (B} The following uses are permitted subject to securing a use permit in each case: 1. Junk yards, secondhand stores, auto wrecking yards; used car lots, trailer sales and equipment sales; 1 2. Commercial distillation of bones, abattoirs, 2 auction yards, commercial livestock feed yards, 3 commercial millings, canneries, lumber and lumber 4 processing, tanneries, fat rendering, garbage ~ fed commercial hog raising, food and agriculture B product processing plants; 7 3. Country clubs, golf courses, race tracks, $ drive-ins, ball parks, riding academies, bowling 9 alleys, commercial amusement enterprises, taverns, 14 dance halls and other places of recreation of a 11 similar character; 12 4. Kennels and small amimal hospitals and 13 crematories ; 14 5. Trailer courts, construction labor camps; 15 6. Commercial airports (excepting individual or 16 private airports and those operated exclusively 17 for agricultural purposes); 18 7. Cemeteries, crematories, mausoleums, or 19 other places for the burial or other disposal 24 of the human dead; ~~- 8. Storage of inflammables (excepting for 22 agricultural purposes); 23 9. Dumping and disposal areas; 24 10. Manufacturing of acids, explosives, fertilizer, 25 glue, gypsum, lime, plaster of paris, pulp ar~d 26 paper, beet sugar, crushed rock, sand and gravel, -2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 to 11 i2 13 14 Z5 16 17 18 19 20 23 22 23 24 2S 26 cement, concrete and/or asphalt hatching plants, concrete and clay products; and li. Industrial uses which might be objectional by reason of emission of noise, offensive odor, smoke, dust, bright light, vibration or involving the handling of explosives or dangerous materials. SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not ,specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said 'Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by 'adding this ordinance in full. SECTION S. The penalties far the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Brute County Code, Chapter 24, this ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Butte County Cade, Chapter 24. SECTION G. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage:sha11 be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the same in the Chico enterprise Record, a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. The facts constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is based are: 1. To protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. -B- 1 2.
