AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "R-l" {SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRrICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, under and pur>suant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as fal1ows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as an "R-1" {Single Family Residential} District, and
7 such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
to area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
11 follows:
12 Lots 20 and 21 of "Hobart Sub" per Map of
Record in Map Boak 4 on Page 24 of the Sutte
13 County Recorder.
14 Containing 19.5 acres, more or less.
15 SECTION 2. REGt~LATIONS FOR AN "R-1" DISTRICT:
16 The following regulations shall apply in an "R-l"
17 District.
18 (A} USES PERMITTED:
19 1 . One single-fami l.y dwelling per parcel , not
20 including tents, trailers, ar mobile homes.
21 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
22 uses.
2~ 3. Household pets (but not including livestock,
24 poultry or poisonous reptiles).

{B} THE FOLLOWING E3SES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
1. Golf courses and country ielubs.
2. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parts, playgrounds, schools
and public utility buildings.
3. Sales tract office.
{C} THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 24-33 SFfALL APPLY.
SECTIDN 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
SECTIDN 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
.Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by
adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violatipn of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Butte County Code, Chapter 2q~.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty {34)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the cl~ico Enterprise
Record , a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.

County of Butte, State of California, on the 25th day
of .7uly 1977, by the following vote:
