AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OE THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "S-R" (SUBURBAN-
RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
County Cade of said County QO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as an "S-R" {Suburban-Residential) gistrict, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
follows:

Beginning at the NE corner of Lot 12 of the
Cus"sick Tract, as shown on the Official Niap
thereof, filed in Book 1 of Maps at Page 48,
Butte County Officio] Records; thence north-
westerly along the easterly line of Lot 11 of
the above mentioned Cussick Tract, to the NE
corner of said Lot 11 and the southerly line
of the Evans Tract, as shown on the Official
Map thereof, filed in-the Office of the Recorder,
County of Butte, State of California; thence
northeasterly along the southerly line of the
above mentioned Evans Tract to a point in the
westerly line of that certain parcel of land
described as parcel No . l in the deed from
Harmon V. Bay and Mae L. Say to Maude Christie
Say recorded in Book 48 Official Records at
page 44; thence southeasterly along the westerly
line of said Bay parcel to a point on the
easterly prolongation of the northerly line of
aforementioned Lot 12 of the Cussick Tract;
thence southwesterly along said prolongation
to the point of beginning.
Containing 27 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-R" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "S-R"

2 (A) USES PERMITTED:
3 l , One s ingl e-family dwelling per parcel ; not
4 including tents or mobile homes.
~ 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
g uses.
? (B) AGRICULTURAL USES, EXCEPT LIVESTOCK, SUBJECT TO THE
g FOLLOi~ING RE(~UIREMENTS:
g 1. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
~p use, the following lot or parcel areas sha11 be
11 required for each animal raised or kept on the
12 premises:
lg (a} For each horse nr head of cattle over one
14 year of age, one (l } acre .
~5 {b} For each head of swine over ten weeks of
16 age, one (l} acre.
~7 (c} For each head of sheep or goats, one (1} acre
18 for the first head and one half (1/2} acre for
19 each head thereafter.
2p (C} TFtE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
21 IN EACFf CASE:
22 1. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches,
23 hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and
24 public utility buildings.

SEGTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorised and permitted are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the proaisipns of said
Butte Gounty Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation ofi the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Butte county Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date became a supplement to and part of the
Suite County Code, Chapter 24.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3O)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration. of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting fior and against it in the ~chico Enterprise T
Record. _ _ , a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California .
PASSED AND ADORTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 9th day
of August , 1977, by the following vote
AYES: Supervisors Lemke, Madigan, Moseley, Winston and Chairman Richter
