AN ORDINANCE ZaNING A PaRTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE aF CALIFORNIA, AN "A-SR" (AGRI-
CULTURAL-SUBURBAN RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT,
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 24-29.
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Bette, State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows;
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby zoned as an "A-SR" (Agricultural-Suburban Residential}
q District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
8 restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and
9 provided.
1p Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
11 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as
12 follows:
13 Commencing at the most easterly corner of Lot l2
of the Cussick Tract as shown on that certain
14 map filed in Book 1 of maps at Page 48, Butte
County Official Records; thence from said point
15 of commencement, southeasterly along the easterly
line of Lot l7 of the above mentioned Cussick
16 Tract a distance of X46 feet to a paint distant
250 feet from the centerline of East Avenue;
17 theMCe r~ari:heasterly and parallel to said East
Avenge to a point being 453 feet wester]y of the
18 easterly line of that certain parcel No. 3
described in Deed to I~. L. Stiles Ranches Inc.,
19 recorded in Soak 1508 at Page 108, Butte County
Official Records, and the true point of beginn-
20 ing far the parcel herein described; thence
from said point of beginning and manning north-
2I easterly parallel to the centerline of East Avenue
453 feet to the easterly 1-ine of the above
22 mentioned Stile Parcel; thence southeasterly
along the easterly line of the St31e Parcel
23 3g2 feet; thence southwesterly and parallel with
East Avenue 453 feet; thence northwesterly and
24 parallel with the east line of the Stile Parcel,
392 feet to the paint of beginning,

1 SECTION 2. REGfJLATTONS FOR AN "A-SR" DISTRICT:
2 The following regulations shall apply in an "A-SR"
3 District.
4 (A) RISES PERMITTED:
g 1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not
g including tents or mobile homes.
7 2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted

g 3. Agricuttural~ uses, except livestock sub3ect to
~o the following requirements:
I1 (a} For each horse or head of cattle over one
12 year of age, one half acre, 21,780 sq. ft.
13 (b} Far each head of swine over ten (10) weeks of
14 age, one half acre, 21,780 square feet.
~5 (c} For each head of sheep or goats, one quarter
16 acre, 10,890 square feet.
~7 (B} LOT AREA:

21 Minimum lot width shall be not less than sixty-five
22 {fi5} feet.
23 (D} FRONT YARD:
24 Minimum front yard shall be fifty {50} feet from the
2~ centerline of the road except where the road is
26 classified by the County of Butte as a Federal Aid

1 Secondary Road, the minimum building setback require-
2 ment sha11 be fifty-five (55) feet from the
3 centerline of said road.
4 (E) SIDE AND REAR YARD REQUIRED.
~ Minimum side and rear yard shall not be less than
g five (5) feet.
7 (F) THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJEGT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
g IN EAGN CASE:
g 1. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches,
~p hospitals, parks-and playgrounds, schools, public
1~ utility buildings.
12 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
~,~ specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
14 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
lg Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by ,adding

~~ SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
~,g zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
19 the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall from and
20 after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
2i Butte County Code, Chapter 24.
22 SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
23 declared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty (30)
24 days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
25 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
26 published once with the names of the members of the Board of
