HomeMy WebLinkAbout1857ORDINANCE NO. 1857 AN:'°°INTELtTM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE CO~7NTY OF B!lTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "A-160" (AGRIC!!LTlIRAL) DISTRICT 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, 2 State of California, under and pvzrsuan t to Chapter 24-30 of 3 the Butte County Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN 4 as follows: Fi SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated 6 in the County of Butte, State of Califonria, snail be and it 7 is hereby zoned as an "A-164" (Agricultural} District for a 8 period of 120 days, and such area shall be sub,~ect to the 9 restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter ~0 specified and provided. 11 Said area so zoned being located north of Chico, 12 more particularly described as foilows: 13 Seetionsl, 2, l2 and 13 of T23N, RlW Mph & M. Z4 That portion of Sections 3, 4, 10, ll and 24 of ~. REGULATIO[dS FOR AN "A-160" DISTRICT: (A) t#SES PERMITTED: 1, One Single-family dwelling per parcel. 2. General agriculture, farming, horticulture, commercial livestock, poultry production, growing and harvesting forestry products, warehousing and storage. 3. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permitted uses, including agricultural processing plants. 4. Housing facilities (including trailers} to accommodate only employees and their families employed by the owner or operator of the premises; and provided further that such housing facility shall be considered accessory to the main building and shall conform to the provision pertaining to required yard and open space for dwellings. 5. Mining, quarrying, commercial excavation and woad processing plants. 6. Hunting and fishing camps, including those which accommodate recreational vehicles and travel trailers, providing that said recreational vehicles and travel trailers shall not be used for year-round occupancy. (B) Minimum Lat Area Required: Minimum lot area shall not be less than one hundred sixty (160) acres. _~_ ]. (C} Front Yard Requi cement: 2 Minimum front yard shall ,be fifty (50) feet 3 from the cneterline-of the road, except where the 4 road is c~~ssified by the County as a Federal Aid 5 Secondary Road, the minimum building setback require- g ment shall be fifty-five (5S} feet from the center- ? line of said road. 8 (Q) Side and rear yard required: g Minimum side and rear yard sha11 not be less ZO than twenty-five (25} feet. 11 SECTION 3. A71 uses of land within the district not 12 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. 13 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said 14 Butte County Gode, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by 15 adding this ordinance in full. is SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the 17 zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided 18 in the Butte County Code, Chapter 24, this Ordinance shall 19 from and after its effective date become a supplement to and 24 part of the Butte County Code, Chapter 24. 21 SECT'~QN 6. This urgency ordinance shall take effect 22 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen 23 (l5} days after its passage shall be published once with the names 24 of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against 2B the same in the Chico Enterprise-Record, a newspaper in general 2s circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. To protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
