AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "R-2" (DUPLEX
RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2~-29
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
2 of California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-29 of the Butte
3 County Code of said County DO ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
5 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
6 hereby-zoned as an "R-2" (Duplex Residential) District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses
8 and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
9 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
10 area of Butte County, Chico, more particularly described as

12 Lot 2 of that parcel map recorded in Map Book
60 on Page 6~ of the Butte County Recorder.

Containing 3.15 acres, more or less.

15 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "R-2" DISTRICT:
16 The fallowing regulations shall apply in an "R-2"
17 District.
18 (A) USES PERMITTED:
19 1. All those uses permitted in "R--1" (Single-Family
20 Residential) Districts.
21 2, Duplex (two family) dwelling units.
22 3. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
23 uses .
24 ~. Household pets (but not including livestock,
25 poultry or poisonous reptiles.?

1 (B} THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
2 IN EACH CASE:
g 1. Golf courses and country clubs.
4 2. Public and quasi--public uses including churches,
5 firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds,
g schools and public utility buildings.
~ 3. Sales tract office.
g (C} THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 2~4--33 SHALL AFPLY.
g SECTION 3. A11 uses of land w~.thin the district not
30 specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited.
ll SEGTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
12 Butte County Code, Chapter 24, the same is hereby amended by adding
13 this Ordinance in full.
14 SECTION 5. The penalties far the violation of the
15 zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
I6 the Butte County Code, Chapter 2~, this Ord~.nance shall from and
17 after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
18 Butte County Cade, Chapter 2~.
19 SECTION 6. Th~:s Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
20 declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3C)
21 days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
22 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shah. be
23 published once with the names of the members of the Board of
24 Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico
2g Enfiergrise _, a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
2B State of California.

County of Butte, State of Cal~.fornia, on the 20th day of
September , 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Madigan, Moseley, Winston and Chairman Richter
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisor Lemke
